Waller builds a good trans in my opinion, the only problem I had was the turn around time. John told me a week and it took about 6. Other than that no complaints.

Sy2675 I apologize for my 2 cents. I did not know where the truck came from nor did I know any details of the sale. I didn't mean to offend. However there was a known problem with what appeared to be a "TC lockup issue," but it turned out to be a tans going south. So that makes my statements valid, you were aware there was an issue, and it didn't go bad overnight... You say you were honest with the buyer and with what you thought was the issue and I respect that. Unfortunately he's now out another $2k minimum it sucks and thats bad luck... I apologize again for my coming across the wrong way.

$$2k my wife will kill me, ill sell the truck with a bad trany or buy a used one and limp around till i get the bank account back up....
Sy2675 is more than honest and very fair he is willing to drive several hours to pick up a used tranny for me and then deliver it to me, i am and 2hrs from him

There was a thread on here a few days ago advertising parts for sale. One item was a fresh rebuilt sy/ty trans. I don't know the details of the rebuild but the price was resonable. Keep your eyes open, used ones pop up from time to time. Again, I didn't mean to offend and this situation sucks! Cost me 2500 for my waller "bullet proof". Good luck, you'll get it straightened out. :tup:

I just have one question, if you are upper class how can a 2k trans kill you? If you are interested and feeling a little bold, why not rebuild it yourself? Shouldn't cost you more than $600 in parts and a converter.:2cents:

where are you located I have a good used trans thats been into the 11s, (and driven home perfect) But im in Michigan and I dont really wanna ship it

i work right next to a tranny shop and they are giving me a deal new trans and tc installed for $1040 with a 3yr 75k mi warranty. they have been in business 50+years and i know them well. they will warranty any thing but neutral drops.... the manager said if it breaks at the track dont call them for a tow, but they will fix it! I'll give them a try, its nice since they are local. They have their own racing team so i have confidence in them. I told him the plans for the truck daily driven 400hp 600lb tq and he said not a problem. They are even doing it tax free, there tech wanted 250 on the side to r/r the trans so even if i got a used tranny for 500 i am only a couple hundred more with a kick ass waranty.[

Make sure they don't swap yours for a rebuilt unit. your trans is syty specific.

Or, is it...? Why did it break so soon after being rebuilt, is there a way to tell if it's original just by looking at it or do you need to see internals?
