That would suck!

The no cladding look is not for me, but unless I was positive that theives wouldn't steal it again I wouldn't replace it!:2cents:

Re: no more cladding

Re: no more cladding

I say don't do it. Replace as money allows, or file a claim with your insurance co and replace.

Re: no more cladding

I have a complete set of Typhoon cladding that I bought - way back in the day - from a poster who I understand posts here (Ray Moore?). I had to do quite a bit of "massaging" to get it into shape, and my "massaging" isn't quite finished (my project never did happen). I was under the impression that the parts were in better shape than they actually were (and I am OCD about that kind of stuff). I spent a ton of time shape-sanding them; repairing nicks/holes/waves/etc. These parts are nearly all paint-ready (and they're straight now, and structurally sound with all tabs).

I have everything - including bumper back support parts, aluminum rocker cladding support parts, core support and grille.

I think I'll list it here, and see what bids I get on it...

Make it look like a 4x4 Blazer. Find some of the old Uniroyal Laredo's and the vinyl wheel well trim. Put the spare tire on the outside of the tailgate and you are set!

If you list it in the parts for sale, you'd be wise to list a price with it. No "auctions" here.

Re: no more cladding

Saw a claddingless Typhoon on ebay awhile back and it looked ok. They kept the front bumper onit but the sides were removed. Apparently they got the dealership to do itthat way or something because the guys wife didn't like the cladding.
There is also a 4 door prototype Typhoon for sale on ebay right now that has no cladding, bumpers or anything but the drivetrain in a GMC Jimmy. I'd have to say that's a rare truck. It's apparently a 91.

You forgot about a brush bar on the front and a windshield visor on the top.
