No start unless ignition key gets cycled

I did a search on this, assumed it was likely talked about before, to no avail. I own a Syclone and a Typhoon that do the same thing, first attempt to start fails with an almost start, then after turning key off and waiting a few seconds then turning key on they'll start. I'm guessing this is a well known problem. Suggestions?

Sounds a lot like a fuel pressure issue to me... Have a fuel pressure Gauge?

Does it crank but no start? If so most times its the check valve gone bad in the in tank fuel pump. Takes a cycle or 2 of the key to build fuel pressure. You can use a fuel pressure gauge at the rail to verify if fuel pressure holds or bleeds off.

Not on hand, but that was going to be where I start. Just curious if these have a well-known magic bullet. Thanks for your reply.

Sounds like my first place to look. Thanks.

This^
Verify fuel pressure at rail, should be 40+ @ key on. If it drops you've got new fuel pumps in your future. I've put 2 in the sy now..
