No syclone...yet!

Just signed up for the forum a few days and I'm already enjoying all the technical info this forum provides!!!! My DD is a 2000 SVT Contour and about 2 weeks ago I picked up a 92 GMC Sonoma for the soul purpose of doing a Syclone swap. Always have been in love with the Sy's and Ty's and I love working on cars so I've decided to put the 2 together. From St. Louis MO. This will be my 2nd project ever, but 1st on a GM car so I'm really looking forward to the build.

Cheers!

Re: No syclone...yet!

Thanks for all the welcomes! No pics yet unfortunately. These past couple weeks have been kickin my ass pretty good but hoping to get some soon.

I would kind of like to do a sleeper-clone...? if that makes any sense at all lol. Only huge concerns I have are the AWD factor. Diffs and gears scare the livin sh!t out of me.

Anyone else in here done something along the lines of what I'm doing? Or maybe know of someone

Thanks again!

If your Sonoma is 2wd, you will need to swap frames for awd. you may want to just pick up a cheap Syclone instead unless you really want the cladding less look. If your looking for a project, a Syclone will keep you busy enough.

I know that traction would probably suck, but what about a RWD Syclone swap? Ive been trying to do research on what the tranny situation would be for a RWD Sy swap I'm not having a whole lot of luck...

I'm pretty sure you can use anything for a RWD trans on these
