I was considering but we go on a cruise starting the 26th for a week and we just bought a new 33 foot travel trailer so money is a little tight. Would have been much more fun driving out in the charger then the syclone. Maybe next year.
i'd rather see you bring the trailblazer SS personally...keep it gm at least
Sorry you can't make it :(

That truck is uncomfortable to drive long distances. Not sure why but it kils my neck and shoulders. Could be that I'm old or use to driving the escalade. Plus the wife would have a problem with me putting all those miles on her baby. She wants the vector tune since she can't beat me in a race.

Re: Northeast Caravan

Do you get any kind of confimation e-mail or something to let you know your transaction for registration went through? I used paypal and then I clicked to return to the NATS page and it said there was a problem. But I got an e-mail form paypal that my payment went through. Now I gotta book the hotel. Just put new torsion bar bushings in and some last minute things to ensure a good trip.

Nevermind, I just saw my name on the attendees list- SWEET. Can't wait. This will be my first NATS so I'm looking forward to it.

Re: Northeast Caravan

So what is the plan so far? I'm game for whatever. I've got a co-pilot so straight threw driving is no problem.

Re: Northeast Caravan

We don't have anything set in stone as of yet. The MD guys will be leaving mid afternoon on Wednesday as far as i know, and the NJ guys somewhere around 6pm on Wednesday. I'll probably meet up w/ the NJ guys at the first rest stop after the Bedford exit of the PA turnpike at about 8:30-9pm (or whatever time they roll through) Then we'll drive straight through till someone needs to rest, and we'll hopefully catch up to the MD guys at that point (they don't plan to drive too quickly apparently).

Then, get to St Louis for lunch, and possibly meet up w/ the St Louis guys, and head out to KC and hopefully make it there by 5pm Thursday.

Re: Northeast Caravan

Ok people here's the deal. Nats is only a few weeks away, so lets get organized and see whos going, whos not, whos driving and whos riding shotgun. So far everyone thats posted in this thread has been listed. For those who I have spoken to or have made their driver or passenger status clear, I have listed that accordingly.

For those who have nothing by their name, post up what your intentions are and/or who is traveling with you.

Once we get everyone figured out, I will re-organize the list by whos going to be in what vehicles and start a phone number list for each car.

I believe the plan is to leave the New Jersey area by 6:00PM on Wednesday. Depending on the number of drivers/passengers, we will either drive straight through or we can stop in the "usual" place Mad Mike and I always stopped at.

Either way, lets get this shit finalized as much as possible.

Re: Northeast Caravan

I am driving the ty out. As long as its still running(god I hope so). I also really hope it makes it out and back with no problems(knock on wood). I will have room for a co pilot. If you still need a ride Morgan let me know. Plus you would be handy since you know way more about these trucks then I ever will. I will be leaving from Don and Taras also if that helps any.

I have a Nextel phone from work that has the two way radio feature on it - if anybody else has Nextel that'll work, too.

Hey Captian, put me down for driving the Ty and I have a co-pilot. What route are you guys going? 276/76 through PA into OH? If so I'll meet ya's along the way.

Okay, I'm not fagging out...but I won't know until August 30th whether or not i have a conflict. I might have to go to conference in West Virginia that weekend. Plus, as previously mentioned, I might not be able to get off work on Weds. See previous posts.

Re: Northeast Caravan

I just PM CrazyKaese to check up on his truck. Dennis & I might need ride to the Nats :) I just saw his to do list for the Nationals. Sorry Dennis, I just had to give you some crap. It looks like I should come a little earlier on Tuesday to help you out.

vacuum lines
spark plugs.
radiator,
intercooler pump wiring and leaks
get rid of my factory air crossover
relocate my battery via an ATR kit and an ATR cold air kit
Engine flushed
coolant system flushed
tranny fluid changed
rear and front diff fluilds changed.
I just had both driveshafts rebuilt and balanced. I need to reinstall the front one yet.
adjust my coilovers for a slightly lower and softer ride if possible.
stereo install with XM radio

I am surprise its doesn't include weld in PEP rear suspension :D
