I finally after years of waiting and putting it off, own my first syclone. Its not in the best shape, hasnt been maintained but i got it for 4800 and it runs and drives. Needs a ton of little things and a paint job and it will be like new. Everything on it is OE. Im excited!

yep, paid 4800 for it. after diggin into it, im finding a lot of little things it needs.. Not a lot of money, just a lot of rigged up stuff to fix right. i put a spare turbo i had on and it runs good and is holding 70 lbs oil pressure (i know a stock 4.3 is considerably less but not sure on the sy) The intercooler pump is completly missing so i gotto find one of those and it looks like it was hit on the driver fender, but no frame damage. I needs motor mounts passanger cv, thermostat, some new hoses, dimmer switch, fix a fog light( no wires even run to it) all new tie rods. not a ton of money just a bunch of little crap.. I want to put all the air box back in so i need all that too. Just a lot of work..

Re: not new but finally an owner

mileage is exempt on the title, it had 32k on it in 03 (last known mileage) the odo. says 38xxx but doesnt spin. Can anyone tell me what stock oil pressure runs just a range. Mine stays about 70 psi. I didnt think they came with a high volume pump stock.

If your going by the stock guage, the oil pressure sending unit is probably going out (just a sensor no big deal). I think mine is in the middle of the factory gauge after I replaced it.

fl meets, when where? as far as TR goes, i pretty much only go to the video post and watch videos.. i havnt read or posted there in a long long time. they are all idiots and kids. I have to register and insure the sy before i drive it. Not looking fwd to another bill. My plan was to leave it in the garage slowly fixing it up. I desperatly need motor mounts before driving it much. Im reading that solid is the way to go and rode in a guys with solid.. not sure i liked the vibration at idle. Still havnt decided what to do about that.
