Had my first race/kill today with the new tranny...

Was a '93ish cobra, had been playing with me in rushour traffic, I was like "what the hell dood?".
When finally got into some open lanes, he stayed back like 3 car lengths :dunno:. I stopped at a four-way and anticipated his slow-roll-through (what a pussy). All I managed was a 0 psi launch and I was instantly a few lengths ahead...enough that he let out of it real quick and turned off without a "wave" of defeat :lol:

Just don't go on a roll with them. I just lost my 350z in a wreck but I can tell you that it sure pulled harder than my 13.2 Syclone from a roll. I spanked 3 Mustangs from a roll and one of those WRX from a roll and a Lightning from a roll. I didn't just creep away from those cars I walked/jogged away from those teenagers and thier cars. I was shocked at the pull it had, it kicks in harder at 4000rpms, but as light as it is, alum frame? and with the wedge body shape to cut the wind and it's nearly 300hp I guess thats where it comes from, and my Z was bone stock. But off the line..... that's where it gets eaten up by the AWD. Just my little fyi.

Unless of course you run into some turd that does not know where his power band is with that motor, then you got em.

The new one's 350z not the old 300 twin trbo. Mine was the new one. From what I understand they are much lighter than the old 300's, but I never looked this up.

Yeah, werd up on the Zs from a roll...I would'nt want to waste my time unless I actually modded my truck . I raced a buddy of mine's 350Z from a stop, it was over really quick as he had serious traction problems .

so if you guys thought he could not beat a stang how did that guy in the SY beat that ZR1??? because my wifes DAD has a ZR1 and I can only get him off the line for about 60 feet then he eats my ass no matter if im in my TY or his SY

There's a guy around my work that has a new 350z and he drives it like a complete tool, cutting every one off, launching it from every light, basically a wreckless whack-off. I ride my Gixxer to work, and just stay away from him, but I can tell you I wasn't too impressed with the way it launches. Rear end squats way down just like the old 240/260/280 z's back in the day, but not much happens. I dunno, maybe they are quick...I think they need to twin-turbo those like the 90's Z's. I think the G35 looks better, but that's subjective.
