I was at the races sunday sitting next to my truck letting it cool and a guy comes up and starts walking around it looking at it. I walk up to him and he says he has never really got to see one. Anyways he hands me a flyer and asked me to come to the races nov. 6. I read the flyer and it said DSM Central sport compact drag challenge. I look back at him and said this is a truck. He said they were looking for other things to run against. I'm not gonna go unless other syty guys go. I already know what I run but would like to beat some DSM ass. Heres the details about the race: All cars and motorcycles welcome. $35 on line registration $40 at gates, $10 for each additional car by same racer, $10 to watch. $50 prize for fastest street car, $50 prize for fastest race car, $50 for winning bracket racer

Hmm...Cordova isn't a bad track. I haven't been there is years. If my truck is still in my possession maybe I'll go rolling down the track with a For Sale sign in it :)

I'm hoping that some of these guys don't know what syclone and typhoons are. I love the crowd reaction, in my tape from last sunday at cordova you can hear people cheering when a c5 vette got the light on me then by the 1/8th i was a car up on him - he came back to win by .02 though with 9 mph on me.
If you don't run thats cool, mine isn't pretty. Its the one with dents and rust and a smashed front bumper - winter project I guess.

Anyone else? a lot of guys in my area are going with their cars and bikes. I heard most of the dsm cars going are 13-14 second cars.

Races are tomorrow, If you haven't registered do it at dsmcentral (see above link) you don't have to pay to register, its just to let them know you're coming and you get $5 off entry fee.
I don't know if my old SY will be there or not, but I'm hoping he will take it.
