Gonna try to make it. Depends on weather and my wallet. I've still got a bunch to do to mine before Nats (de-mousing it right now - not sure how they got in there but it's a damn mess) so if it's a "I should work on that" weekend I'll probably work on it. But it would be nice to see everyone, I probably haven't seen anyone in SyTy land since last year's event.

Be careful what you wish for - I was looking for more time for SyTy stuff and still get the normal house stuff done, and I just found an hour/salary cut at work. Now I should have the time to work on the truck, but not the money to buy parts. And replacing interior pieces wasn't in the original budget. Grrr...

Free advice - if you don't drive your truck often, buy some 50 cent mousetraps as cheap insurance. Thank me later.

You know what this sucks. I took vacation this past week. I spent most of it busting my ass in the garage working on the truck. I did new cv axles both sides, new water pump (found my water leak ) changed fluid in transfer case, closed a large hole in the firewall from an old harness, made front end limiters, fixed a power steering leak, and i forget now what else and now its going to be crappy weather. Well "F" it im driving down there now anyway. I live about 2-2.5 hours away depending on traffic so its not to terrible of a drive. If any of you are down there and read this, look for me by lunchtime and flag me down! Id love to get to meet some more SyTy.net members.

I will not be there. I am on call and can't go that far away. It is killing me missing it.

Big Mike will be down there today he is leaving PA around lunch time takes him 2 hours so maybe you will see him crusing in his Syclone later.

Well i am really glad I went! Saturday turned out to be great weather and a really good turnout of cars. I saw two other syclones and a white/white typhoon and was told there was a black typhoon down there also. Wish i could have caught up with more syty people but to the ones I did meet it was good talking to you guys.

One of the syclones was very clean and for sale for 13,500. It had painted cladding and chrome zr1's and looked good.

The other syclone i only caught a couple glimpses of going down the road and all i know was it had stock wheels. The white/white looked like Bob Galla's truck but i never got caught up to see if it was him.

My truck did pretty well over all but i think my transfer case is on its last leg. I am getting a very loud clicking/grinding/clunking kind of noise whenever i get on the throttle hard. The truck has always not wanted to make sharp turns but that has gotten worse. With a long drive home i decided to just cruise up and down the road and not beat on it anymore. We did take the tonneau cover off and a couple friends got a ride in the back (they said it was pretty comfortable with the bed rug in there).

Anyway, it was a good test for the upcoming journey to nats. I know i need to upgrade my cooling fans, it doesnt like sitting too long in traffic, but once its moving it held 160 degrees no problem. Looks like my coolant and power steering leaks are gone. I plan on pulling the transfer case this week and cracking it open to see whats going on (i need to do some research on what it takes to rebuild one). At least i will be able to fix the tranny fluid leak where the trans and transfer case mate up.
