I have a 1992 Typhoon, I am planning on having the engine rebuilt but I hate leaving the truck sitting. It has been sitting for over a year already and I have a 98 S10 with the vortec 4.3 and I was wondering what it would take to drop the Vortec in without the turbo. I have the computer and wiring harness and it is a 5 speed but if I am not mistaken the transmission on the typhoon is not computer controlled. It is not really needed but I just think it would be something to occupy me till I get up the money to do a full rebuild. The S10 was rear ended and bent the frame bad enough that there would be no purpose to fix it.
