Oil change tomorrow, which oil grade?

I'm going to do my first oil change on the Sy and was wondering what grade oil to use. My friend suggested 5W-50 Synth. Is this good??

I would be willing to bet 5 dollars* that green cap 10W-30 Mobil1 is the most commonly used SyTy oil. I think the owner's manual even recommends it specifically??

Yes, the manual if you don't have one calls for "Mobil 1 synthetic, or equivalent, with a viscosity of SAE 10W-30". BTW, here's a little trick to getting off your remote oil filter without making a huge mess. Cut the top off on a 2 liter bottle and slide it under the filter as you are turing it off. Once the filter comes off, it falls into the bottle as well as all the nasty oil. HTH

Yes!! I do the 2 liter bottle oil-catch can trick too! :smile: :smile:

A trick I saw in PoP mechanics, of all places, was to put a zip lock bag over the filter, unscrew it and bam sliker than snot.
