Oil feed line for turbo...

Hi, I have a 01 Chevy Blazer Xtreme, that I am installing a turbo on. I purchased and am useing the stock exh. manifolds from a Typhoon. I've been getting tech info from QBNKiller, and he tells me that there is a spot on the drivers side of my block, where I can add a nipple, and run my oil line from there to my turbo. I've found where you would add the nipple to the block, but can anyone give me a part# for the adapter/nipple that screws into the block? QBNKiller couldn't remember, he's busy, so if anyone can let me know what the part# is, or what type of connection, he's speeking of, I would greatly appriciate it.
Thanks,

It's an NPT thread . 1/2 To AN 4 male to male line but that depends on your chosen line. If you have the remote oil filter mounted to the front of the driver fender then you can also take the feed from there.

Re: Oil feed line for turbo...

Actually, the oil feed on the block is a 1/4" x 18 NPT fitting. I used an Aeroquip FBM2515.

Search for Mike's posts (sy2932) if you decide to go with a feed off of the oil filter.

I have a similar project going on. What software are you going to use for your tune and what are you going to do with the stock O2 sensor on the driver's side? Delete? Relocate? If so, where?

Re: Oil feed line for turbo...

V, I haven't gotten that far yet, if I can have it deleted, that's what I plan to do. If I can't delete, ill have to ask my exhaust mechanic and see if he can relocate, or put an insert where the sensor is so it won't through any codes. I had him do that with the 02 sensor behind the cat. But I just got my heads back and installed, and I'm waiting for my cam to come back from Crower, I had to have it reground.

Re: Oil feed line for turbo...

I don't know what software will be used to tune it after I get it all back together. I hope my local Turbo Speed shop has something or some idea's. V, if you get yours tuned before I get to mine, would you let me know what software was used, or atleast give me some ideas. Anyway, thanks fella's for the help with my oil line, but I found the box with the fitings to run my oil line off the block, right above the oil filter. I actually have all the fitings I will ever need to complete my build. There was a box that came with the kit I purchased and like they say, "It has more fittings, and braided lines, than I can shake a stick @".

Re: Oil feed line for turbo...

HPTuners supports your PCM. Check out Scott's (UR50SLO) turbo Jimmy for more information.

In my case, it's a little more complicated (PCM not supported). I'm probably re-pinning my engine harness to run a LS1 PCM with a custom OS and tuning with EFILive or HPTuners.
I think the software can ignore the driver's O2 sensor, but I never seen this clearly defined in a build thread.

Re: Oil feed line for turbo...

Scott placed the drivers bank 02 sonsor on the crossover pipe and the pass side in factory downpipe bung.If you are going to use the factory intake and fuel injection you will not be able to get enough fuel.the injectors are only rated at 24pounds.

Trans-to-front of engine...that's a long extension to the O2 harness. Thanks for that info.
Got the intake manifold and injectors covered.
