Oil pan hitting 4 bolt main caps

Anyone ever run into this? I've had a few built motors before and never run into this. And no I do not believe the nut for the turbo oil return is hitting. The other side looks identical to this picture.

I would say buy my aluminum pan! Just kidding,

If you are using a stock pan then just clearance it to fit like you would the bottom for eagle rods.

After looking at the picture it looks like those 4 bolt center caps just look a little wider than normal. What brand are they?

just rotate the assembly and look for scratches in the oilpan, if you see them, use a hammer and bottem it out a bit and try again. it's normal on eagle rods

I'm thinking you might need to machine down the main caps themselves so they don't sit on the pan seating surface. If you try to work the pan to fit around them it may cause sealing issues. :2cents:

The pan is clearanced for eagle rods. I don't think another pan would fix this problem as the gasket surface would still be in the same place. Im not sure what brand they are, they are not marked.

Unfortunately I think you are right. I've just never run into this before.

i ran into problems with mine where the dipstick tube passed the splayed cap. I had to rebend it a couple times. I also notched my pan gasket around the caps. Sorry no pics.
