marc try 8995910 gm part # through www.gmpartsdirect.com
the part name is ac delco 799c

uh correction... skip gm parts direct... the price may be good but they charge you like $10 shipping on a 1lb part... call Dal in the parts dept. at www.vandevere.com or www.worldparts.com/vandevereoldsmobile/ he handles a lot of the GM internet business from various BB's and mailing lists.. The price will be almost the same.. and you won't pay crazy shipping.

Seeking Tune Up Parts suggestions

Seeking Tune Up Parts suggestions

I am a new owner of a Typhoon and seeking information on recommended tune up parts. It seems that I have spent all of my money just getting the Typhoon and now I am looking for the better prices on the better tune up parts.

It was suggested, by a local turbo tune up shop, for me to get Accel cap and rotor, Jacobs 8mm wires, Delco O2 sensor and Denso iridium plugs.

What have you guys found to be the better bang for the buck on tune up parts? And is there some tune up part suggestions that I have left out?

Local GM dealers should have te PCV and they are cheap enough that a discount wont matter much by the time you pay shipping on them alone.

The accepted tune up recipe is
Conrad or equivelant brass tipped cap n rotor (Not accell)
AC Delco CR42TS gapped at .035"
ATR or Taylor spiro pro wires
AC Delco or Bosch 02 Sensor
GM / AC Delco PCV valves ONLY
Delco Fuel Filter
Mobil1 10W30 & Mobil1 Filter

I am ure the list keep goin but thats what you need to get started.
