Okay so what does the pitbull do exactly!

I have been having some problems with detonation while driving, wot, and after wot so pulled the chip to check it and sure enough a pitbull installed in 1994! :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: So what are the specs on the pit bull and who wants to sell a (second gen chip) The one out of later 92 ty's and 93 ty's. Or who would like to swap! :D :lol:

Green, Nolan, Waller, Dig, Calcagno, etc.. Any one of them should be able to answer this I believe ... You should be able to re-program the pitbull ..
If it came down to it you could ship it to green and have it re-burned with the stock program...

Best bet is to watch Ebay.. the classifieds at syty.org , and the classifieds here on the board... just make a WTB: stock chip post ...

Usually see them go for Ebay anywhere from $10-$50 when they're up for auction..

What chip am I suppose to get? I mean outta a sy. I ask because of what I heard about the early ty's and sy's needed a better chip. I read something on it a couple of days ago and wish I could find it but it had the numbers. I am pretty sure this was the site I saw the info at but it's not up right now. http://www.syty.org/promguide.html

basically as far as I remember it was just a GM campaign issue to address certain idle characteristics/concerns ... that was all... most trucks tend to idle all over the place due to a bad or worn ignition... You can also see that memcal information here at:

hope this helps... just hit up green.. he should be able to tell you if you can re-burn the pitbull with a stock program...

Well i followed the directions exactly on resting the computer and it runs great now! No detonation! Idle is f***ing awesome. Still have the pitbull but I don't know it's runnin great! I guess I should have reset the computer after doing the tuneup and tec! I'll let you know how things turn out but as for now I think I am gonna keep it and see what happens!

sounds like you have a buyer in Invisibill...

I was under the impression that you could have one of the 4 ultimate programs burned onto that chip...for instance the 16psi program or the 19psi you just wouldn't have switchability w/ the ultimate control box. But...for 40$ it'd be worth it to have a stock chip.
