Actually you can & could re-top it back to normal. It's nothing a saws all and a donor blazer couldn't take care of with a little welding. It's no different then welding on or fiberglassing cowl hoods, cutting fenders for vents & the misc other few body mods I've seen on here.

Funny thing is member autoaddictions is the one who cut he roof off for $3500. That as money well spent for sure. I *think* that my sawzall is at work...

I think regardless of how many produced or rarity you should enjoy what you have to it's fullest extent & make it yours regardless of whether anyone else likes what you do to it. :2cents:
I'm considering convertible topping Sonoma GT #0380 with a removable top when it gets to the point of having everything else done.
