painting typhoon

Re: painting typhoon

Almost done! I have the engine bay complete and painted. Also finely got a base coat on the typhoon, but I ran out of paint. The fans where sucking the paint out before it got to the surface. I cut more exhaust opening and it seems to be working better. Here are some pics of what I have done so far.

Well I finely took the typhoon out for ride in the neighborhood to get some datamaster runs for Nolan and all I can say is damn. This truck sounds like its on steroids from hell. It was funny looking at people’s faces as I drove by their houses. They where properly like what’s up with that jimmy. I didn’t get on it that much, but can’t wait to take it on the highway to see what it can do once Nolan works his magic.

Yeah its kind of all most done. The cladding is all on and man it looks sick. Its all blue with the 2 tone grill. I wanted to paint the cladding silver but I think it would have tooo much silver. Before I had a chance to borrow a camera to get some pics I ran into a problem with the engine. I have been running the engine for about a year now. As I got closer to a complete truck I would drive it around the neighborhood a little. Once it was able to go on the road I drove it around the area where I live. Then the first time I drove it for a long distance about 80 miles round trip I had a engine knock and oil pressure drop. I was like WTF again? So I pulled the engine out and had the machine shop took the engine apart. It wasn’t good inside. The mains were toast and messed up the crank so I need a new one. If anyone has one please let me know? The shop keeps saying that the HV oil pump is sucking the pan dry making the bearing lacking oil.

Now since the truck is in the garage all dusty and the hood off, I really don’t want to take any pics now.
