What type fitting do you use for the pcv hose to connect to a homemade cai with aluminum pipe?

I used a threaded brass nipple. Drilled a hole that was just a little small and it threaded in just fine. I can get a picture if you want

I was just wonderin with the pipe being thin if a threaded brass fitting would stay or if youd need one with a nut on the backside.

It will stay. I used them on my turbo build on my old Eclipse. Just don't tighten the crap out of them and you'll b fine.

I used the plastic one out of the stock intake been there for a few years no problems and it was free.

Thats the route I am going to go with on my stock orange elbow, and the rubber cobra elbow too I think :) ---

They sell a kit at Auto zone for custom intakes. It comes with a hole saw, rubber grommet, and an assortment of plastic nipples for the PCV hose. Its cheap and looks cleaner than a brass fitting theaded in.

You will need a 3/8" barbed fitting for the PCV hose. My old setup had a brass fitting. Now I am running a chrome plated one that I purchased from Summit.

Back when I used to fabricate and sell adapter tubes, I machined 1/8 NPT bungs that I had TIG welded to my tubes. A welded bung is the only way to approach this modification. Unless you want to risk having a nut come off and get sucked into your turbo...

Those look nice for sure, but drilling and tapping the whole and not over tightening the barbed fitting will suffice.
