PCV question
I see that nobody has answered you. I will try.
The PCV (Positive Crankcase Valve) is supposed to allow one-way passage of crankcase vapors to the intake to be burned. A ball is supposed to block any reverse flow into the crankcase (gravity helps hold the ball down).
If yours allows flow both ways, it is being held open with carbon build up and ether needs to be cleaned out or replaced.
I hope this helps.
