PEP's new website

PEP (Precision Engineered Performance) has a new website under construction http://www.webxites.com/precisionengineered. So far pretty much all that's there is some pictures in the Gallery http://www.webxites.com/gallery.asp?id=14012&page=1. The site has had some visitors who saw the link in the Teck Talk thread on Intake Work. I just wanted to let anyone interested know that the site is up and running and pictures as well as other features will be added regularly.

The Gallery pictures are limithed to fairly low resolution. Let me know if you want any particular photos in higher resolution and I can have them posted on another page (I think).

Move with Purpose
I got a first-hand look at the work being done at PEP this week - Very impressive.

The custom headers and suspension they did on Sandman's truck are awesome. Move over ATR and KB...

It's not all that scary. Keep in mind that it's really more than headers - it's a package including headers, collectors, wastegate passage, and ideally downpipe as well. The turbo ends up slightly higher and further forward than stock (this can be adjusted to individual needs) which improves access and keeps stuff away from the heat. Dennis prefers to make these parts out of mild steel and have them coated - when he was involved with the Indy Buick program they had a bad time with the stainless headers getting brittle and cracking, and they radiate a BUNCH of heat into the engine compartment.

Anyhow, for the complete header and downpipe setup you're looking at a bit more than ATR (which is $1600 for headers and downpipe plus an adapter I think) but less than $2000.

BTW the headers were fabricated in the engine compartment and there is ample clearance between the steering components and headers (over an inch). I'll see if there is a better picture that shows this.

Hey Adam

Dennis had already agreed to use the WebXites so I helped him mess around on it. You're right though, it's expensive and not totally what we're looking for. In a couple of months (early next year) PEP will be in a brand new building in a brand new "Performance Park" (5 1/2 acres) along with Hot Rod Bill (all steel as well as fiberglass California style Hot Rods [mega $$], a Harley Davidson customizer (often sells to sports figures and celebrities kinda like Jesse James), Ramsey's (specializes in building and tuning Mustangs, has a chassis dyno), a high performance tranny builder, competition grade machine shop, custom upholstery and interiors, powdercoatings, etc. - you get the idea.

Anyhow, we will be needing a website for the entire Performance Park with seperate pages for each business. We (you, me, and Dennis) need to sit down and talk about this...
