I know Pete's truck is a :cough: Ford color.....

This is that blue sy found in colorado that came from alaska (i believe) with the caddy tail lights. I was told by a relative that she saw a blue sy in colorado springs, maybe related?

at any rate this dude(who owns the site the pic is located on) lives albuquerque NM, and truck's owner is named chad. It appears to have a NM plate as well. The pics are all dated at DEC 02, makeing them recent.

Looks like this thing is slowly making it's way to mexico.

Yeah that was mike johnston's syclone... hard to remember all of them .. Service high school kids wrecked a bunch of syclones... Todd nathenson had 2.. Think mike only had that one which he repainted blue, had the door handles shaved off, and added the caddy taillights.. this happened a year or two before I sold my Ty to Pete and Nikki.. Mike moved down to colorado for school and got into a fishing accident that damaged his eye.. sold his truck to pay for medical bills.. then the syclone showed up in arizona I believe earlier this year....

As I recall, there was a post in the Storm Watch forum at least a year ago (it's gone now), where it was mentioned that that Sy was wrecked (in New Mexico, I believe). Either it's been put back together, or those are old pics.

Jamie, I had no idea so many Sys were wrecked up here. A co-worker told me about a Sy that a former co-worker of his had. They removed the bed, and found a really poorly-done welding job on the frame. They found out that a previous owner had wrapped it around a tree. It was probably one of those Service students.

Let's see.. there's wrecked and then there's totalled... Todd's first truck was totalled by his girlfriend while he was in it from what I recall.. he was drunk and she was driving him around.. Parents went and bought him a brand new syclone.. 2nd truck got wrecked and sold too from what I remember.. There was another Sy besides Mike's that got totalled at service .. The Typhoon that was driven there survived ... no crashes.. at least what I heard... Couple years back I was doing some construction work with Rick Hagen.. came to find out while working with his son Rick Hagen Jr. that Rick Jr. took a truck off the the new seward highway and either wrapped it around a pole or drove it into that fire station off the road..
That truck was totalled but ended up sitting down at Stepp Brothers Lincoln/Mercury for a long time... Rick's uncle/grandpa etc.. owns that dealership and was trying to put humpty dumpty back together again... Think Rick's sy was the same one that ended up at alaska sales a year back before that accident with the blown engine.. Then there's Damon's Sy.. Don't know if damon went to service or not but he ran his truck into something about 5 years back and required a new front end... probably a couple other trucks out there with collision damage that occured in alaska besides hunters.. just don't know of them or can't recall right now :-?

The kid that moved down to go to school in Colorado...Any chance he went to Colorado School of Mines? I may be reaching on this one but I think I remember this truck from the beginnings of my SyTy experience in 98.

I asked about that Sy again today, and we think it might be this one. It was traded in to Cal Worthington Ford by a Service High student, and that's where the co-worker got it. It supposedly hit a pole (not a tree) while spinning brodies in the Service parking lot. But when stories get passed on, they inevitably change. Maybe it was one of the other Service Syclones. Or maybe he's making the whole thing up or doesn't know what he's talking about.
