Re: Photoshopped picture?

Yeah there is no door handle on the rear door. I guess it could be shaved but most likely shopped.

Truckless. For now.
Re: Photoshopped picture?

Yup. Trying to remember who did it... but it's not coming to me.

Re: Photoshopped picture?

can't believe that no one ever did this except geiger. it's not that big of a deal to make one, considering how much money some of us throw at it just to be different

Re: Photoshopped picture?

the only thing photoshopped onto this picture is the cladding. the door handles are like that...fronts are 2nd gen handles, rears and gate are shaved.

oh and turbo v8/4l80e ftw. cladding is in the middle of being molded, but it'll be a long process. One day it'll look like the pic unless i can convince him to just paint the cladding white like it should be.

Re: Photoshopped picture?

is the rear of the front door going to have to look like the rear of the front fender cladding and will the front of the rear door have to look like the front of the front door to allow the rear door to open?

Good question... I haven't gotten to the point where I will be custom making those pieces of cladding.

I have thought about trying it on my blazer for awhile now and that is where I start to lose steam :rotf: well that and the fact that all the cladding will cost a lot of money and it would be worth more than the blazer. perhaps an engine swap first

Your really building this?? Have any photos of the real thing in process?? That would be so cool to have for getting the little guys in and out of the truck!

Re: Photoshopped picture?

Yes I am really building it.. Its several years from being complete. I'm currently focusing on fabbing up the hot side of the exhaust.

I decided to build log manifolds as I don't think there is much of a gain going with actual headers and fitment is much easier with log manifolds.

Here is a real life pic of the outside from before I pulled the 4.3 and started the turbo 350 build:

I'm actually making open face fiberglass molds of the cladding so that I can make my own reproduction parts. This process is much slower than I ever expected..

Here is a mold of a rear corner in progress:

As Renz mention it will be a single turbo SBC, Ramjet intake, 4L80E, hydroboost, rack and pinion steering, coil-over suspension, carputer, etc.. The list goes on and on...

Re: Photoshopped picture?

That is sweet! Did it start out as a 4 door Blazer ?? Looks like a very long project. But it will be sweet when done!

Very cool! I like the way it looks with the rear door handles shaved off. Can't wait to see it finished someday.

Yes, it started out as a 4 door blazer with a nearly perfect 93 black leather interior and a nasty exterior.
I took it from this to what you see in the more recent pics...

Here is my carputer:

After I purchased this I did all of the body work & painted it.. Then I installed my carputer and drove it for a year or so with the 4.3 until the intake manifold gasket started leaking coolant.
