When you let off, you hear that horrible sound that I cannot figure out how to spell out in letters? Maybe "pftahpaarrhpfafafathrarr"......... You are at 15psi, and when you let off and close the throttle plates, there is nowhere for 15psi to go but back through the turbo which is trying to still feed the motor; turbo flutter. It can ultimately cause damage to your turbo. Yeah a BOV may not be necessary for an automatic, but how many automatics do you see running 15+psi? They sound cool too.
