Re: Picture of the original spare

uhhhh...what?

There's a stack of tires in the shed and you don't know which one is the spare for the truck?

Can't remember how to put the spare back in the truck?

:dunno:

Re: Picture of the original spare

Need a picture of the spare tire that originally came in a Syclone. I took mine out, put in a storage shed with other spare tires and parts. Didn't think twice about it until I listed my truck for sale. Now I have a few people interested that will be looking at it and want to put it back in. I would rather put it in and have it ready to go rather than waste someones time while I look for it.

DaveP, I agree that is kinda cool. Do you know if the typhoon spare is the same as the syclone's?

Re: Picture of the original spare

This is the spare I have. My ty did not have a spare when I bough it so purchased this spare from a forum member here along with the cover and the hold down hardware. If it has been ran, it couldn't have been much.

Re: Picture of the original spare

Dave, I didn't notice that, this is the spare that my truck came with. As you see it is exactly how it came out of my truck. It has never been mounted and I guess for whatever reason it was swapped at one point.

Re: Picture of the original spare

That is exactly what I was looking for... that saved me tons of time right there. Plus I didnt want to put on a spare and THINK I had the right one, now I know for sure.
Thanks!

Here's an original Syclone spare. It's never been on the ground, or bolted to a set of studs. doesn't get any more original. I saved the best, until last.

Here's the manufacturer's stamp and dates on the wheel itself:
TAJ = broadcast code. I don't know if this code is unique to Syclone. It may not be.
The "4....26" on each side of the valve stem is the day the rim was welded to the center section.
The "K491" Is Kelsey Hayes, Apri, 09, 91 the day the hoop was manufactured.
There are similar numbers on the center section. I didn't take a pic.

And here's the Vendor's tag. It's not very legible. I can onl;y make out "MEADOWS". I believe there is a sequence number on it, so it was sourced from outside the Assembly plant. I have only seen this tag on this spare. Kinda cool.
