i can convert vhs to mpg if need be

What do you use? I'll be recording it for myself and all I have is VHS at the moment.

On a side note, what's the best way to digitize Hi8? My dad 'loaned' me his Sony Handicam for Nats. It's maybe 5 years old, but still decent. Only drawback is the Hi8 format. I'll be attempting to use it non-stop at Nats... If I can find a few spare batteries.

I just play it on the tv and use my webcam to capture it.

actually i just have this rca to usb video capture cable that comes w/ some cheesy software but does the trick. Hi8 is the same way....either output direct from the camera, or use a nice Hi8 player. If you want, give me your footage tape after nats and i'll convert the entire thing to mpg or just make a dvd out of it. I have access to some pretty good equipment if need be at Penn State.

I also have a DVR and can download to my computer though my Digital video camera.
But I won't have a site to upload the show.

upload the show to:

www.michaelrenz.com/upload/

I'll host it since my host works.
let me know how big the file is though....if its more than 50mb i'll set up an ftp account for you so we won't have a timeout issue

Sounds good. Making a DVD out of it would be sweet. Cheap to get it to everyone that way too.

Looks like we've got the show covered now. let's not forget this time.

No, its not a second.. Its more like two seconds... They show it driving past the start line.. Its not even a launch.. Quite disappointing.. I was hoping they would show a launch and maybe some powerslides around turns.. Instead the entire show focused on those big ass tractor trailers...

Actually we are flying in Saturday Morning to give Ron his Money. We should have it picked up sometime next week. Still trying to Decide who is going to finish the Car - Rad Ride, Pinkee's or Kenny Davis.

Pinkee's in Loveland? They do good work. Don't they have a Riddler Award under their belt? I worked with Cristin Peratt for a little while here at the Tribune, but she only works part time for the Trib now because Pinkee's is doing so well.

Safe travels. Should be nice and hot for you here on Saturday. My wife and I will be attending a local car show, hopefully Syclone 1799 will be there and I can get more info on the truck for the registry and better pictures.
