Ok I'm starting the build on my engine. I'm just gonna have the shortblock built and swap the heads/intake over myself. My questions are what internals do you guys use? I'm shooting for somthing to handle 500rwhp w/ 8.5:1 compression. I'd like to get some type of forged pistons, I think I have my heart set on Eagle Hbeams (Just need to find out where to get em), but what piston rings are you guys running? Also what main bearings?

What ya guys think about those 4bolt conversions?

Common build is:

- SRP Pistons
- Eagle CRS Rods
- JE, SRP, etc... Piston Rings
- 4 bolt bottom end using Program main caps (RPM)
- Vortec heads
- Intake modified for vortecs
- 412, 415, or 422 Camshaft
- Your choice of injectors, turbo, converter, etc.....

I checked the eagle site and found these rods:

CRS570063D 5.700" Chevrolet 4.3L V6 "ESP" H-beam Connecting Rods 480.00

Will those work?

Also I took a look @ RPM and found they sell SRP Pistons - 4.030 (8.5:1) So thats for the stock bore + .030 over correct?

Also I've got the worked vortec heads with this intake:

Its soon to have 42 lb/hr injectors. Also the ECM will be the Holley Commander 950 unit.

I sell the Eagle H-Beam Connecting rods (CRS570063D) for $359 set, and keep them in stock. I can also get you gaskets (Victor or FelPro), bearings (Clevite), a cam (Comp), and some other stuff at a better price than most anybody else.

RPM is the best place for SRPs, rings, main caps, and a lot of other stuff.

Turbotime is great for PTE kits, JS Design items, etc....

Send me a list of the stuff you need and I'll shoot you back what I can get and at what price. Do the same for RPM, TurboTime, etc.... Make a few smaller orders between the few of us and save yourself a good bit of money. We (SyTy vendors) all have our strengths in what we offer to the community, and buying from 2-3 different places allows you to save money and also allows each of us to still benefit financially. This spread out flow of purchasing will enable each of us to continue to offer these deals to the community. I want as much business as I can get (as well as anybody), but it benefits everyone for the RPMs, Tucker Auto Parts, Turbtimes, etc... to each have a piece of the pie.
