my PLX gauge just says "rch" does that mean i'm pig rich off the scale?

Does it say it all the time, just at idle, or??? Is the gauge new, or is this the first time the motor has been started since a mod?

Stab it and steer it
Re: Plx Wb

Before I start mine swings full scale both ways and stops at 14.5 if that's any help.

What injectors were in it before, and which are in it now? Did you change the AFPR? Are you running on Code59?

Re: Plx Wb

everything is brand new. truck didnt have WB before. running 65# injectors, what would switching the position do?

i'm gonna disconnect all the plugs, and plug them back in.

first i got a little gas leak to fix

If you're running Code59, just go in and turn f28 down a bit... if you have an Ostrich, hook it up and do it in real time.... that way you can get it dialed in quickly without having to turn things off, burn a chip, etc.

You do have a 3bar map installed? If not, and you're running Code59 you need to do that first... and make sure you have the correct WB chosen in '59

Re: Plx Wb

im guessing ur pig rich. you can test the wbo2 senor by pulling it out and shaking it a little bit. on the gauge it should read "AIR" . this is when the truck, with the key is in the "on" position. if it reads that then take a lighter and put the flame directly on the sensor tip. the guage should immediatly go to "RCH". if it passes those tests, then i would say ur really rich then, and the sensor is good.

Re: Plx Wb

i'm wiring the PLX into the ECM so $59 will read it. if i bring it up on the "dashboard" view, will it show a number if it is really rich?

BTW, its a 3bar map. i got a video of the truck running if anyone's interested.

Yup, it will show up in Datamaster or TunerProRT

Try the PLX devices forum. Currently not working.....
They do have troubleshooting ideas.

Re: Plx Wb

Like mentioned verify in the bin you have only the PLX WB selected.

It will show up under Actual AFR in tunerpro. Max is 10:1 I believe or full rich.

Before you fire the truck, just turn the key on. Should read ~20:1 as the air in exhaust will be just air, no fuel yet. That should tell you if gauge is working as it should.

If you have the stock O2 sensor, what is it saying via tunerpro?

Re: Plx Wb

with the datalogger box on "Open" and cold start, high idle, 1400rpm. Tunerpro read actual AFR as 12.00~12.10.

is that too rich for the gauge to display? does the truck need to be warm for the gauge to display?
