Finally back on the road after finishing up the 4L80E swap I started over the winter. The project expanded into a bit of "while I'm in there" (new PTE6262 turbo, rebuilt transfer case, replaced remote oil cooler lines, added aux trans cooler, new Sportmachines intercooler, new body mounts, etc.)
This was the first time I ever touched a transmission. It's Myclone's old 4L80E (which had grenaded). I rebuilt the trans the previous winter and did the swap this year. After a hundred miles or so, it seems to be working fine.

Very nice. You should cruise down to the Shindig this coming weekend (Oct 3-5) and hang out with us. Didn't realize you were so close (was thinking you were up near ATL).

Almost done just need to bleed the brakes and put it all back to one piece.
I did lowering springs, QA1 shocks, JTR set back plates, wire wheeled and painted the back half of the frame, converted to C5 z06 rear disc brakes, changed out the girdle cover.

about two hour drive, dang that creeped up fast, didn't relize it came up so fast. I will have to see if I can make it.

Decided to take the wife to breakfast.....in another state.:lol: 100 miles or so up to Michigan. Lake Michigan is in the background.

Took my boys to the Ihobby show in Schaumburg, decided not to take my typhoon to avoid chances of door dings that i would dread getting, so anyways i pull in right next to a syclone instead while in my wife's truck, thought it was ironic, i did have a typhoon shirt on at least lol.
anyways truck # 2800 looks good despite the crappy weather we have had. you are a brave soul having it in that crowded parking lot! wish i had my ty with because i would have been safe between the sy and the divider lol
