Get that truck done already harmons! And I don't think those wheels do that color, or the truck justice.... imo.

I agree, charcoal or anthracite would look amazing, but then again - it isn't my truck. Regardless, it looks amazing you guys. congrats on the top-notch work!

It's my daily driver, thank god I don't have to drive back and forth from north phoenix to mesa ne more I put 15000 miles on it on those 2 freeways since Feb. I plan on grafting a Chevy Colorado SS front end on it and getting all the cladding back on and get it painted Victory Red ASAP but I can't Evan afford the pieces of cladding I need. That's cool that u noticed me bro I won't be on the 60 much more though

You're going to put a colorado ss front end on the ty?....

That's the plan, also with all front 2010 camaro ss wheels 4 linked with that coil over setup they sell @ RPM. Only if I had the means right now.

It's your truck, and I wholly support doing something completely different, so I'm not going to crap on your idea. Honestly I've seen that conversion done on 1st gens before...AND WHEN IT'S DONE RIGHT...it does look really good.

But why would would you cut up a Typhoon? I can't imagine the amount of work it would take to get the bumper cover to look right with that front end. And if you plan to leave off the front cover, then your better off chopping up a first gen blazer. :2cents:

My brother and myself helped a buddy of his do a trailblazer conversion on a 2nd gen...I do not recommend it if you aren't an experienced body man or welder - or know someone (that you can completely rely on) that is. My brother has been doing custom body work for almost 20 years, and he even said he would never take on a project like this again. You need to build a completely custom core support and bumper mounting setup - and you'll need to factor in a custom radiator.

If I can find pics of that project I will post them, for the time being here are pics of a colorado swap on a first gen from s10forum

Well this is my vision for my truck and its gonna take a lot of hard work and help to get this done, I don't plan on ever selling the truck and all my plans for the truck are realistically going to take a few years at least. I plan on cutting my truck Evan more than just this plan. Why would I cut my Ty like this? Because its going to be bad ass when I'm done with it. I plan on putting the street scene bumper cover like the new SS's have and that's going to be the hardest part to make it flow with the cladding. It will have a canyon grill though. Thanks for your advice from your experience man I appreciate it and can't wait to dig in next year.

Where are you getting an aluminum core support from?

A member here made then awhile ago. It came with the Ty when we bought it. When I say core support, I'm using that term very loosely, as it it just a tubular frame shaped like a core support. It is far from a bolt in deal
