All the locks should cycle. Usa a paper clip.

tried that too. I used a paper clip and used a small gauge piece of solid copper wire for home electrical wiring. Nothing happens... gonna try to ground it out to the door post. If that doesn't work i'll have to pull out the console and test the receiver again. Most likely it's a waste of time and the receiver shit the bed after sitting unused for 7 years.

no dice grounding out G to the door post either... receiver is probably dead.

Did you ever figure out what the issue was? My typhoon has the same issue where I ground A and G nothing happens. All the locks jittered one time I did it. But not a full lock then unlock.

Is it possible to find a replacement unit these days? Anyone know a part number? Or if they were used in other trucks? I'd think since the same remotes from later trucks work with ours that the same keyless entry receiver is present. or one that is compatible. But i can't find any info on where the damn box is on new jimmy's. There a junk yard up the road a bit from me with dozen's of mid 90's jimmy's out there and I know some of them have keyless entry because the box is still on the keyring in the ignition. I just can't figure out where they hid the unit on them...

I have no idea on the wiring compatibility of the 2nd and 1st Gen RKE modules, but according to what I can find on the net the 95-97s have the module up under the dash above the datalink connector.
