BOOSTED
So a couple weeks ago I took the Ty out to go turn in some movies. Let it warm up and started to head out. I noticed right away the 1-2 shift didn't seem as hard as usual.
By the time I made it out to one of the lights (about 2 miles) I had lost overdrive so I pulled over, fluid looked blood red, didn't smell burnt and the fluid was just a hair low (about 1/8 at the dipstick)
So I decided to head out to O'reilly to top off just in case and by the time I got there (another 2 miles at most) I had lost third and the 1-2 shift was starting to slip. So I topped off, put it in reverse to back out and nothing
By the time the flat bed came to get it I had lost all gears, neutralizes in every gear, even manually. It's been sitting at work for a couple of weeks just sitting there ( I work at a GMC dealership). Our tranny guy is going to help me take a look once he gets a chance but he's been swamped with work these past two months
I've been trying to figure out what happened. I've broken 700s before but always lose 2-4 or third, spend a couple hundred and get back on the road. What do all gears have in common that would cause something like this? The torque converter bolts are tight and I haven't boosted the hell out of it since I'm still trying to get it dialed in with Tunerpro
