i don't see any twin turbos or ls1's in there. you *need* those.

not to worry - it's going in the next project Typhoon. However i don't think it's going to be an LS1 - just a simple 1300hp tt 406 cu. in. small block.

Re: Project 663 Begins

Quick Update.

Installed new suspension stops on the rear.

Had to make an opening for a wrench. When i remove the bed this winter i will cut the entire bracket off and relocate the stop to the frame itself

Re: Project 663 Begins

Now the truck has the right stance. Looks good. I like the exhaust also, hows the sound??

Also why did you replace the front Hotchkis sway bar for the Bell tech one? Isnt the belltech smaller and heavier??

You should do the F-body LS1 rear disc conversion, and either the F-body LS1 front disc sap or the C5 swap, for a 12" rotor front and rear or a 12.8" front and 12" rear rotor. Fairly low buck and a bolt on.

BTW: Happy Birthday Marty.

Sounds really nice - not to loud - almost sounds just like my old syclone

Oh, i thought i read when you first started on this truck you had put on a Hotchkis front bar, but i guess i read that wrong. The set i bought from you is still sitting in my garage, i never even opened the box just layed it across my GT's frame and its now acting as a shelf for my f-body LS1 brakes for the Ty.

Ive seen the SSBC kits, and i think for the money they cost they are not worth it. You can get a complete LS1 rear disc setup thats a direct bolt on for 200 or less on ebay, then get the bolt on ebrake cable kit from the GP here on the board and then you can get the front calipers and rotors for 150 or less on ebay and then get ahold of ebmiller88 on s-seriesforum.com as he sells the hubs and brackets needed for the 2wd trucks for around 250 or less i believe and your set, 12" front and rear rotors and plently of stopping power for the truck. Better and cheaper i think in the long run IMO.

Keep up the good work on it.
