Re: Project Crispy...

Thanks David! I sent you a fedex label!

I went to the junkyard yesterday and practiced removing the dashboard. Not much fun... Hey pankakes got some advice on that??? But on a good note i did get an alternator, the junction box on the firewall, another fan and alot of wiring. I also picked up some other parts but ran out of time to really make a great trip out of it... Darn Colorado... It went from 75 and super sunny to snowing yesterday... Oh well...

Re: Project Crispy...

After increasing pressure Crispy moved today. Not under its own power, but I got it moved over to my storage unit for some dissasembly. Dad needed to get his camper out of the back yard and Crispy was in the way so I made him help me.

I took off the front bumper and the front cladding. The passenger side cladding has some pretty good bubbles from the heat but just on the bottom. You cannot see them from the outside. But some tabs broke off so now I need to fix those as well... GRRR... I thought I saved the all of the cladding. :(

I will get pictures tonight...

Re: Project Crispy...

So far I am getting a big pile of parts together... Went to the yard again and got another round of parts for crispy... Found a fairly new radiator and ac condenser (I will try using the ac condenser as a secondary intercooler) an upper and lower fan shroud, plugs for the tranny, 6 month old alternator, serp belt (nearly new), some non ac heater boxes, a non ac pulley, a transfer case, a nice door panel to replace, and some more parts to trade! All for $118 after tax!

I am also working on pulling the front end off the truck but I can't figure out how to pull the fenders off... But in the storage unit I can't get the doors open all the way either...

Re: Project Crispy...

I give you credit for your work. Most people would have parted that poor thing out. Two thumbs up for your dedication. Good luck with it and hopefully it turns out better than before.

Re: Project Crispy...

Do you need an a/c box? I have a couple spares if you like they are yours. And agreed glad to see it being put back together.
