Wow man that is crazy.

I'm glad to see the community is coming to help you and that like many others have said you are in it for the long haul and rebuilding. Phoenix is a PERFECT name for your truck from this point on.

Keep your positive attitude it is an inspiration to us all and especially me (I'm restoring my Ty after neglect of my own doing :( ) .

What is wrong with FREE??? The U-Haul guy felt sorry for me and didn't charge me for the trailer rental and borrowing the truck was free too...

You have no idea how close it was to being gone forever... If it had blown up anywhere else but the PD parking lot it would have been nothing but a burnt out shell...

I think it was the fumes. :)

The fumes definately did a number on me. Everything tasted a burnt for a coupe days. But it was actually the pain pills for the burns on my arm that made me smile  J/K

Re: Project Crispy...

Did some more cleaning... I have lots of parts ready to go back on crispy... And I found a weldon pump!!! I found an 600-a for a good price until I can afford a weldon 2015 or maybe a magnafuel pump.... I cant wait for my package from Turbotime to get here! That and a package from CKEITH and I will have 80 percent of the things I need! If anyone has some -6 AN line let me know... I need some for the tranny next... There will be mostly braided lines on crispy from now on!

Just make sure you don't let the braided lines rub on each other. It is like sand paper and you could have the same thing happen. Just make sure you get some Hose Separators so they don't rub. Wouldnt' want to see the same thing happen to yo udown the road.

Billet Specialties make a bunch of them.

that just means the next fire will be hotter and bigger, pushing all that fuel.

Re: Project Crispy...

-8 feed lines and billet fuel rails baby!!! My 60lbers may end up being too small!!!
I still need to do the math (can anyone help me) but this pump will push over 60 GPH at over 65 psi and it was cheap... Less than $100 for a pump that normally costs over $400... It will do until I find a good weldon 2015...

I also have a box of parts coming from Mike Hood so it is getting closer all the time!!!

Re: Project Crispy...

I got my fuel rails and my replacement PLX connectors and got the dash removed. It is now in my basment getting cleaned. It only suffered a few small cracks from the fire so I think I will still use it.

Next is removing the winsheild... Got any suggestions?

The trick to getting the window out is...put your seats back in ,get a buddy over, sit in the seats and put your shoes on, both of you push the window out, after you take a window knife( basically a cotter pin puller with a sharp edge) and cut around the window. What other parts do youo need to help finish this thing, update your parts list.

I watched them change mine. Pull the beauty strip from around the edge. Then get a window knife, I've seen 'em sold, and you literally cut the thing out. It's glued in. Don't know where to find the glue. Might be worth it to have a windshield guy come to your place and just do it. Those window suction cups with handles help allot. Try Post Toll or Harbor Freight (gyppo tool stores) for this stuff, prolly work OK for one change.

Re: Project Crispy...

I am currently working on the parts under the dash that were burned. So I need to run to the junkyard to get some of those wires. This is the hard part. It is very tedious to clean this stuff up and figure out what needs to be heat shrinked and what needs to be replaced. I don't have any power at my storage unit so it makes it hard to see...

Here is the latest list of parts needed...
