So how much wider is the corvette rear if you measure from where the wheel mounts to where the wheel mounts on the other side?

I've done a ton of research in the past and considered using the following company to build the conversion kit:

Flat Out Engineering
Rancho Cucamonga, CA
909/608-7432

This kit is the most likely candidate to fit our trucks and can be either a complete bolt in or weld in kit. The only tough fabrication part would be to set up the pinion support bracket which needs to be welded onto the cross support. I've been trying to pursuade the owner of Flat Out Engineering, Don McNeil to build me a kit for over a year now, but he needs someone to bring a truck down when he can find the time to do some measurments.

Do you still need someone to take a truck by for Don to take measurments on??

It's been a while since I took the measurements, but I think it's overall about 1.5 inches wider. You can compensate with a change in rim offset.

Right now my 9.5x17 SSR Comp H rims need a 1.25" spacer to bring the track width close to factory specs.

That would be awesome!

Let me contact him and see if he is willing to take the time to do the measeurements still. He always says how he has too much work and not enough time, although he wants to do a kit for the S-10 trucks as he sees a market for it.

C4 IRS is 62" (hub to hub)

Ty is 58" (hub to hub)

Main problem will be the "dogbones" (described elsewhere), they will take up tire space, reducing the width of tires from 11" rears to a maximum of 9.5" :tdown:

In your research have you found anything that indicates how much weight the vette rear can handle? I would image that the ty has a lot more weight on its back wheels and as such I would think that a lot more pressure would be applied to the moving parts of the suspension especially during hard cornering/etc....

Going by weight distribution figures, there is between 60 and 70lbs difference depending on the specs of the vette. I plan on upgrading all stock vette parts and all custom parts will HD carbon fibre to counter the weight difference

to bad i already ordered my michelin 335/30/20's, if theres a will theres a way, ill make it work, ill keep ya posted to.

Holy shiiieet....335s on 20s, i wana see pics of that when installed on whatever your putting them on..
