I started test fitting the hash marks for the correct angle.

Damn that tailgate pic is sick. Makes me want to add some kind of badge to the corner of mine, just fits there.

Still wish we could park side by side and see just how close the colors are on our trucks.

i see you have the 4wd optional fender "flares", some s10s' came with, i had been wondering what a set of wide wheels and those flares would look like on a no cladding truck, they look great. being a 9.5 inch wheel how do you think a wider wheel would look, and if there were clearance issues on the inside of the wheel to frame do you think the wheel could be spaced out farther or would it come past the flare?

GREAT WORK btw, you'll have fun doing the interior swap, mine was a PITA and it was only a gt swap into a standard cab s10

edit:

figure out parking brake.

Oh and get the little doo-dad that makes my 6cyl gauges work with a V8,

I'm working on those 2 items myself, the tach ans speedo i think are gonna be a bit more difficult because my truck is a carb'd small block but the oil press volts and temp gauges along with fuel should all be easily done. those gauges in my truck are currently working except i keep having issues with gettin the temp gauge to read correctly, think i have a bad sensor is all though.

Looks great, tip for pulling the blue dash in the donor, remove the steering column, otherwise the dash will crack trying to come around it, talking from experience here:lol:

I like the red and white GMC logo:tup:

i'd say for the amount of time you'll spend getting that dash out you might as well wait for one the right color, trust me you won't want to do a dash swap twice if you are unimpressed by the painted one when you're all done you will hate yourself.

I've had really good results with that fabric and plastic spray can dye. granted, I was going black.

Shuggs, did you leave on the AC box on when you painted? Were you still able to do a color change with it on? Any issues with that?
So we started on the firewall. After the firewall we will jamb the fenders, hood and tailgate. Then jamb the truck. Its color time!!

I unbolted it, but not all the way. Just enough to get some paint behind so when I bolted it back down you wouldnt know if I took it off or not.

You said you wanted to sell the shaved doors a while ago.

So what was different was the face I removed the wheels. hehe

We cleared them today and they look a lot better. Gloss black wheels with a glossy truck.

The black wheels really make the big brakes stand out more.
