PTE 60 w/stock tc at track

Well went last night to see what times i could get with the stock tc before i change it out to a 3k stall. I'm having problems building boost at the line, but after i put my brake booster in i shouldnt have any more problems. Best time with maybe 1lb launch. Currently running stock injectors,atr,60, ultimate t1-16, and 93 octane.

With the stock tc i was getting beat at the line (but couldn't really build boost), but i was fetching them towards the end of the track. Hopefully within a couple of weeks i'll have my 50# injectors, tc, and brake booster put in. From the last time i went to the track im roughly 6 mph faster even with no boost from the line, although i ran a 9.0 last time. I'm pretty sure after i install the rest i will NOT be seeing 9's again. :D
Wanna say thanks to Patrick Sy769 for install all my crap.

Rudy,

I don't want to dissapoint you, but your Ty must be seriously out of tune. What ever you do on the short times you should run deep in the 8's and should have a much better trap speed. I've a 52 and the stock TC and I'm out of tune, but I can do 8.0 at 88 mph any time. That's a Sy though...

If I may, you may want to try tuning first. I ran a full second quicker with just the ultimate. Stock turbo, stock injectors, stock convertor...etc. "Should" be in the 7's with a 60. HTH

Rudy,

Could you send me a DM file on one of your runs, interested to look at it. Can't believe you ran it so quick after the install, figured Patrick and you would have tuned it a little more. He said you weren't getting much knock and that you were going to run race gas to help protect it. How is your boost looking, holding pretty steady? Was wondering cause I have read where some people have had wavering boost even with PTE cause of fuel not being tuned right. Congrats on getting it mostly together, I just wish mine would come in already :-?

Theres nothing wrong with my engine i ran a couple of dm runs on it before i went to the track, and i had like 2-3 knock all the way until 3rd to 4th shift then it went to 5 (on the shift) then back to 3. My boost was solid at 15.5 all the way until i shut it down at 110. With the stock tc spool up is a bitch takes forever, from looking at my dm run and just mashing it at a like (no building boost) it took me until 7mph to get .5lb then at 20mph i was at 5 then it went straight to 14.7 and went up to 15.5 by 30mph. You guys are missing the big picture, with a no boost launch and stock tc i was 6 mph faster in the 1.8 then before, so with my new tc i should be in the low 8's with ease.

Yeah you had pretty good mph for a no boost launch, can't wait for you to install the converter. I like it when other people are the guinea pig  When are you ever going to get that truck where it can hold boost? Seems to me you should be able to hold decent boost without the brake booster, hell mine has held 11 lbs before with no creep. To scared to try any higher.

Keep us posted :D

His brakes have air in them I think. When he says it won't hold any boost he means it. It wouldn't hold boost with the stocker. I am waiting to re-bleed the brakes when we install the edhess bias valve thingy.

We made a hot lap after i finished getting everything together and then I had to leave town.

Oh BTW a open dump in the middle of town sounds goooder :D

He said the open dump was too loud. He did just turn 27, so I guess he's getting old. Also, he didn't like the loudness because he couldn't hear his new Justin Timberlake CD. What a fairy.

I took my Ty to the track like 6 months ago and the best run i got was an 8.59 at i think 89 mph. I am basicly stock.

the 60 w/o the converter is going to be really lazy off the line, regardless of a new brake booster. You may pull some more mph but your et will suffer until you do the converter.
