Put on my new GS wheels

Glad to hear I was an influence in your decision. My GS wheels have the same lip and I love them. That's really lowered two inches in the front??? Damn, I would have thought max one. I'm going to be dropping mine to start 1 inch and take it 1/8" from there. My rear is already lowered 1 5/8" so it's pretty close to yours.

Posting pics of mine won't happen until after the painting is done. I expect this to be in a month or two. I still can't find a place that I'm comfortable with. Who know's, manybe I'll post a pic or two!!!

Well, it may be less, i'm just guessing. Just to give you an idea, the head on my torsion bar bolts are flush with the bottom of the crossmember. A few more turns and they would completely come out.

What color is yours gonna be? Gonna keep it black?

Yep, going all black although I haven't decided whether or not to paint the cladding too although I'm leaning that way. I guess that way there will be some way of detecting the two trucks apart at the 04 NATS.

Are you painting yours too? I thought I read that....no? What color?

Painted cladding on a sy looks killer!!! If you have the time and money I say do it.

I will but im missing both those above things :-?

Planning on painting it platinum gray. Its the color they are using on the new VW Beetle. Its very similar to the gray Ty overseas that was at the Nats over there. I have a cowl hood to go on it as well and goin with black Syclone stickers in place of the stockers. I think it will look pretty cool.

on a side note though, its gonna be hard to change the all black. The more I look at it the more I like it. But its so common and I wanted to do something different.

Nice, Platinum gray, I know exactly what color you mean and it is sweet. I may even consider that. All platinum or black cladding on platinum?

Nice pics...I like the replicas. They have a more noticeable lip than GS rims.

All gray, including cladding. (man I hate using black chrome!!)

Run a poll on painting the Sy Platinum, I'd be curious to see the results. Personally, like I said, I like the idea.....a lot!!!

Ask someone to photoshop it for you, on your pic!

You've got me thingking about doing that now :-?

Has been done before, search for it. Unfortunatly I couldnt find it :cry:

Are those BFG Comp T/A Drag Radials in the rear? If so what kind of traction do you see compared to your previous tires? Please enlighten me. (considering a BFG DR purchase) Thanks.

They are 17x9.5 fronts with 274-40-17's and 17x11 rears with 315-35-17's. I got my rims off Ebay. They were the cheapest I found.Then the tires I got from Tire Rack.
