question for you fabrication guys...

Mephisto

These trucks are cursed
is anyone fabricating the braces that bolt from the front bumper support to the frame rails where the CCHE flanges are? they should be pretty easy to make. the stealership sells em for 47.52 each which is a joke! those couldnt possibly cost more than $5 to make! its a piece of 6" steel with 2 holes and a bend.

anyone making these or have any to sell cheap? otherwise im gonna go to OSH and try to rig up my own "with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch".

Are they easy to make, sure.

$5 in materials, probably

However time and labor adds up

It takes time to drill the holes, the one is rather large at that. It takes time to bend the piece, or in my case I would make them in 2 pieces and weld them simply because my metal brake wont do 3/16" steel or whatever they are made from..... althought I could just toss them in the vice and beat them over with a hammer

$47.52 each is a joke however. If you would like, I can see what I can whip up though, its up to you.

I've always wondered what those were for, seeing as we dont have any turbo components anymore:(

well how do these look?? they are 6061-T6 aluminum so they should be nearly as strong as the steel ones but nowhere near as heavy ;)

heh, from request to product in < 2 days....nice morgan.
:rotf: yeah well, not all things are that quick unfortunately, I just happened to have the material to make these and whipped them up while I was waiting for paint to dry.

Unfortunately now I have to go back and finish some other projects
