Quicker than a production Syclone?

Re: Quicker than a production Syclone?

Uhhhhhhh, I'm going to have to call BS. No way. How can this run 4.4 when so many other cars and trucks cannot? 500 horsepower to the rear wheels of an unloaded two wheel drive pickup will give you the same results as the Ram SRT10 - a nice smoke show. 5000 lbs + mud and snow rated tires + heavy 22" wheels = more like 5.4 seconds. The 13.0 quarter at 106 seems feasible, but not a 4.4. That truck in factory street setup should not launch as fast as the article claims. Take this truck with 500 horsepower, slap on some slicks or drag radials, adjust the suspension some, and it might run faster.

Either way, the streets just got a little more interesting!

Uhhh, is it just my poor eyesight, or is there smoke only coming from the right rear tire in that first pic..... yeah, sure it runs 4.4 0-60.... wink wink... here's some money under the table for printing that spec;)

How come the stillen charged ones (basically same as trd) don't run even close to those times. I'm also jumping on the b.s wagon.

bull. no way it can pull that kinda number with a peg leg. not even a drop of smoke from the driver side tire. it can prob pull a boat well, but pull a 4sec 60ft? hardly.

Re: Quicker than a production Syclone?

My friend's ZR-1 is rated to do 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. I don't know if it true, but I can tell at 60mph his ZR-1 is behind my Syclone even though it supose to do 0-60 in only 4.6 secs. The TRD adds on aren't factory options and who know if they add Drag Radials as well.

Well i dont know if it is a one-legger, but even on dr's i doubt it would hook enough to get that kind of times

13.0 @ 106, yeah right, that is slick car(ala vette) mph, not a bricks. When I was running 13.0's my mph was only around 99. I am joining the BS crew.

Its obvious that its a one wheel peel...look at the first burn mark...only one...ok is this how the average Joe could buy this off the showroom floor??...NO!!...these are addon's...Im sure if GMC offered a bigger turbo, bigger injectors, and other go fast goodies as an option to the already bad ass stock Syclone... ....I also call BS on this...

The higher mph is actually indicitave of a car that is spinning out of the hole, like on street tires. Hooking well, that mph would be a 12.80-12.70.

Re: Quicker than a production Syclone?

And yes, to all the Syclone owners who are worried about being the "quickest production truck ever", this is not a "production" vehicle. It's chock full of dealer add ons.

:stupid: 106mph is indicative of spinning out of the hole given the E.T., which doesn't net you a 4.4sec 0-60. In a fullsize truck that hooks up, a 13.0 can equate to a mph as low as 98-99mph.

I don't know what to think. Its hard to tell by 1/4th mile time and trap speed what exactly is going on. My SS cobalt has problems hooking up thanks to FWD. Was able to land a 2.3 60ft. 13.5 run @ 108 mph.

I have a hard time seeing this Toyota being as fast as they claim.
