Dr. Jeckle you have got me all wrong. I wasn't saying anything about modifying them. I know the TRs are way faster modified and way easier and more bang for the buck, and everything. I was just saying what they run stock, like "factory stock" or whatever you want to say, to mean that there are no mods or no mods over $5.
Where did I say that SyTys are easier and cheaper to get fast than TRs? I would like to see it, because I know I would not make such a statement. I was just arguing against the way some people made it sound like the TRs and Lightnings ran 12.9 if you drove them right from the showroom to the dragstrip. I have PERSONALLY talked to a handful of people owning Lightnings and TR/GNs who said they ran 14s when they were stock. What do you have to say about that? Do you think they were all lying? Maybe the problem is our definition of factory stock. You throw slicks on either the Lightnings or the TR/GNs and they sure as hell won't be in the 14s anymore but that is not the STREET CAR they were sold as. So maybe our problem is just of the definitions.
Jeckle if you think my 13.2 is shit, then tell me how fast you went on the stock chip and boost and stock turbo in your SyTy?
Anyways, I stand by my statement. "I have heard of bone, factory stock TRs run mid 14s." That is a fact because I did talk to owners who told me this personally. I also stand by my other statement "I just don't believe this bullshit that they run 12.9 right outta the box". If you turn up the boost and put in race gas, and add slicks, then 12.9 yes at the track. But that's a big difference from what I'm talking about. Sorry for any confusion.
