Re: Racetronix Harness?

I just took some pics for ya. I just installed my 'stock' alternator which was just upgraded to 140 amp with the larger stud for the racetronics kit. Truthfully I found it way too long which I will cut shorter. But it does hold the fuse holder nicely. If you want larger pics, just click on them for the full size.

Sorry for responding late,

Here are the pics you requested.....

All connections to the alternator.. You can see the power feed for the racetronics harness!!
( I have to reclock the wires since they are too close to my liking to the bearing.)

Side view...

I hope this helps you quickstorm

Re: Racetronix Harness?

what is the whole advantage of the racetronics harness ? just more constant voltage to the fuel pump ?

its a hardwired setup, more voltage and more consistent amps to pump.

Re: Racetronix Harness?

The racetronix kit uses a larger power wire to go straight off the back of the alternator to the fuel pump. It uses the stock wiring to trigger the 12v relay.

Bigger wire = less resistance = less voltage drop at the pump

Re: Racetronix Harness?

The Racetronix system uses the GSS340M Walbro 255lph pump as seen in this picture.

The complete kits come with the wiring harness, walbro pump, and the walbro pump installation kit...

Re: Racetronix Harness?

So not to bring up an old thread but I'm starting to put my engine bay back together and didn't pay attention to the alternator wiring

My question is this....I'm 99% positive I have the Racetronix kit installed (there's a single pretty large guage wire that runs from a relay near the fuel tank along the frame rails and up by the alternator) I also have the longer stud as referenced in this thread. From the pictures I can't decipher if anything is supposed to be hooked up to that stud???

So basically just wondering what wires go where on the alternator? When I took it apart I also had 1 wire running straight from the alternator to the battery. Am I wrong or aren't there 2 power wires already in the factory harness?
