Got my mount in the other day. Was skeptical that it would vibrate/shake with only one cup, but it holds steady on the street. In the pics, it's mounted for data logging but will be lower for racing. I hope to have some video of street races and road races pretty soon.

www.e-mount.com - the great thing is that they're cheap and located in Savannah.

The Base
The Double Socket
The Camera Pad

They had it as a kit when I bought it, but those are the 3 individual pieces I was billed for. I actually just order 2 more mounts so that we can have 3 total camera views on the races (now to buy 2 more vid cameras).

M'kay....no thread-jacking-apology necessary....it's not like I'm not a dealer for these guys. Just stating how pleased I am with their mount for only $38.

Will try to get some video this weekend. Haven't really driven the truck much since I got the mount.

Stock (a new one I had been storing from years ago)......I got a new offroad warning label from a board member years ago, but I just didn't put the O.S. handle back on the pass-side (probably why it looks different).

I also have the FilmTools suction mount. It works very well for simple stuff, but when I use my Canon HV20 with a Canon wide angle lens (the lens weighs more than the camera) I get some vibration. I'm looking for a second suction mount to use as a stabilizer...

I have a short video that I made awhile back using it. It's not a SyTy, but it's a fairly decent car to use for experimentation. :D

Sorry it's so short, but it's about all I could show without getting arrested... :)

Re: Ram Mount (vid cam mount)

Nice....that's about the level of vibration I get (shot some video yesterday, will get it up asap). My camera is fairly top-heavy and the mounting hole is located towards the back, so this puts max stress on the mount. I'm thinking that if it becomes a problem on launch, I may get a small suction cup and use a strap to keep rearward tension on the top of the camera. Not what I want to do, but may hafta.
