Does vacume control the direction of flow cause when i put it on any setting it just blows out the defrost vents...How do i fix this?

you need to check the vacuum switch at the dash. sounds like it might be broken. do you hear a leak?

Does your cruise control work?
if not, your problem is probly under the hood.

trace the vacuum from the front manifold vacuum source back to the firewall, then check out the ones in the dash.

I bet its one of the folowing:
hard line slipped out of rubber connector
line dissconnected entirely
brocken/cracked rubber line near the check valve behind the throttle body

Well my idle is right at 500-650 but it moves around goes from fairly smooth to rough and back and forth. That is why I figured it was the vacume cause i have new ngk 6's the iridium kind and new wires and it ran great for 2 or 3 days then it started missing again. Ok here goes my long story of how it has run. I bought the ty in july and it was great then 3 nights after i bought it my wife and i hit a 18 wheeler tire on the highway late at night couldn't even see it. On the way home i was so depressed and we stopped at a gas station to fill up and went to see if there was any damage and the tire had ripped the ic wires in half! and messed up the front pass cladding connector pins so it sticks out a little any way. I hooked the wires back up and i knew it didn't run the same. So i replaced the fuse which was blown and the relay and it worked for about 5 minutes. Now when i hit the tire my c-control quit working and when i replaced the pump cause the pump broke it worked for about a week then quit working again. my ac has not worked right ever now that i think about it. I did have it blowing out the vents for a couple of weeks but i shut it off one day and have never been able to get it to blow out the vents...Now i can turn it on max and it will blow but only out the dfrost vents and any open crevice like the glove box gets cold as fuckin hell. I am just trying to get things fixed as i go along i am also in the process of saving for a new t-case rebuiold since i am not awd. Man my truck runs so bad at times and good at others i actually lost to a old nasty lookin Iroc but have beaten a 95 cobra with 4:10's go figure! Any way about the vac GP i am trying to get SYTY ARCHIVES to start another one. I posted early this week a post titled paging SYTY ARCHIVES and talked to him then and already have 10 orders including myself ready to go for the next GP.

Well to get help i'll drive to denton it's about 2 hour drive but today i have 2 birthday parties to goto. both are for my 21 yr old friend so it's get wasted day. But i would definitly like to get together. Maybe you'll have some ideas on how to unclog a upperintercooler. Plus i would like to see a SY never seen one. hell never seen a ty until i bought mine. Lets get together seriously! e-mail me and i'll give you my cell and we can arrange something!
