Rear bed side cladding fitment - requiring assistance

When installing the cladding on the bed side of a Sy what's the trick to get the wheel arches to fit correctly?

I've been messing with this thing for a couple hours and the very ends of the arches keep wanting to flare out from the body when you put them on.

I've tried leaving everything loose then tightening, or tightening then putting on the arch, no luck.

TIA

Not at all suggesting you are dumb Roy but make sure they are on the correct side. If so, bolt one end tight and then push the other end in flush and bolt it tight. The 4 small tab screws are the EZ ones.

Should I try and tighten the arch down with the front and rear pieces tight or loose?

We have installed a few pieces of cladding. The real secret is to heat the cladding before mounting. lay the piece out in the sun for a couple hours.

Ok, thanks guys, I'll leave it in the driveway all day tomorrow. Supposed to be 80*-85* should do the trick.

I don't know why but these are the only cladding pieces that ever give me trouble. I can never get them as "perfect" as the factory.

They really didnt fit that nice when they were new. A heat gun will work and is much faster, plus you can focus on one area. Have a cold wet rag with you to help mold in place. Should be fairly simple.
