I sent nick (NJ93TY) to a shop by me and he paid 2500 for a completely stock rebuild... He dropped the long block off and picked it up when it was done. Not too bad at all and that included all the sy/ty specific gaskets.

sounds about right. Its basically what I said except not getting new accessories and he had it built. Basically he paid 2k for machining and assembly and parts.
