red/gray ty at All West Auto in Edmonton

I went to pick up a bunch of ZQ8 parts at All West Auto Parts this morning and there was a beautiful red/gray Ty in parking lot. The tech I was with said it was the yard owner's - anyone here? I didn't get a close-up but it looked awesome from where I was :tup:

If I got my facts straight, the truck came from the US last year, a kid from Beaumont brought it up then rear ended a brand new Mercedes right of the lot, it was a write off and went to an reserved silent insurance auction, where I bid on it and lost to the current owner who fixed it............

But then again I could be wrong.

Yep, Cam has it correct.

That's Eds truck. Needed some new front sheet metal, he put on a cowl hood, fixed a poorly repaired door from a previous collision. Took it down to bare metal and started over. Turned out pretty nice.

Was originally a red/grey truck, not that it matters. I have to bring it home one day, says the boost is low all the time. Have to do some troubleshooting when I get a second, lol.

Know Ed for a few years now, used to crew chief for his sprint car when he drove it.

Off topic but what ZQ8 stuff were you getting? I have an 8.5 rear housing from a ZQ8 truck, wrong width for my truck, might sell it.

they had an xtreme with only 4500 kms on it so I picked up the steering box, bilsteins, and rear sway bar for my non-ZQ8 noma. I may be in the market for an 8.5 in the next year or so depending on how the 7.5 holds out with boost. Thanks again for the info on the ty, I was drooling over it again this morning when I picked up the parts.

yea one of my friends from beaumont knew the kid who bought it...apparently he didnt take care of it at all and the accident may just have been the blessing it needed lol
