This is true I think it all comes down to the driver the nicer you are to it obviously the longer they last luckly our vendors as few of them as they are can help with the rieliablity issues:tup: mine was fine up until I killed the turbo......at the race track

I'm always afraid to drive mine outside of my AAA towing circle. And I drive it like a grandpa.

X2 here. I've owned one since 2000 and my other since 2006 and both stock trucks have been going great with only problem....a dead battery. I put 2000 miles on my 67k mi one this summer, and got great MPG in town. Just don't boost them all the time, keep up on regular maintenance and you should be fine.

Like Renz said above, they can last if you dont beat the crap out of them. I bought mine with 73K and logged over 78K on it in 3 years. The only time it was down is when I threw a belt on the highway with a melted belt tensioner. Keep it tuned...every year, and drive it like a daily and it'll last. That is, if the previous owners took good care of it.
