Re: RenzFab Sportmachines Wrenchfest 2014 (in Williamsport, PA)

Thanks everyone for coming.. I had a great time and I feel like a lot of you got done what you wanted to..

Thank you Keith for making my truck not stall.. I feel like a bone head for not being able to get that part of the fueling table correct.

Thanks everyone that brought Whiskey. I think there is enough there to keep me buzzing for a year!

Thanks Tom and Mike for providing the food.

Thanks Jeff(Nelsonwheels) for the burgers and for manning the grill.

It was nice seeing old faces and also meeting a handful of new people.

Just for the record we didn't touch Jim's(blackty) truck. He didn't have everything that he needed to go code59 so it left as it arrived. So no threads about how the wrenchfest blew up my truck.. lol

No worries Matt. Will be done today after work. Water pump gave up the ghost. Pulley and bolts already painted...Jim

I had an aggravatingly great time. Glad as many people showed up as did - always nice to have matt's shop filled w/ sytys.

Few things I learned this weekend:

  • If I never have to hear a hanging starter again I'll be happy
  • coil brackets need to leave room for wires to plug into them
  • jeff has a very nice rolling rapemobile
  • I love when tom and matt disagree and it's a race to figure out who's right
  • Brandon drove a long way just to tell someone to disconnect a solenoid
  • spark is probably important

I,for one, am glad Brandon showed up. You will NEVER hear a height restricted joke, poke or pun from me. He is pretty sharp. So we are at what, 3 min. for a starter now? Good times...Jim

I'd also like to seriously (rare for me) thank all those that pitched in on my truck whether it was snugging up a few bolts/clamps, headbutting the wall with me trying to think of what else could possibly be wrong, troubleshooting for hours, testing wires, checking fuses, changing sensors, running to parts stores for new sensors just in case, watching me almost pick up and throw whatever was closest to me when my tire went flat....or simply cracking a joke to get my mind off my truck for a second or two. It was greatly appreciated.

I almost left my fan on rt. 80. I believe Jeff had the one by the lift and Fred had the other one where he was parked...Jim

Matt, I left the fan on purpose to keep Renz from getting to
Hot! I have another on just like it. Used to blow air across my motorcycle
Engines during break in and tuning (air cooled tractor motors).
Keep it. Thanks again for a great time! I will definately do it again.

Did anyone smoke the place out and leave a puddle of unburnt fuel on the floor in my honor? Sounds like I missed a good time. Can't wait for the next one.
