replacing all fuel lines....what's my best option?

Chasing down some issues.....my next step is to replace all fuel lines on the Ty. I need to replace all lines....from tank to engine. What's my best option?

Do my own DIY kit with braided lines?

OR

Buy a kit from a sponsor? I'm thinking from a sponsor it's going to run around $400 or so.

Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

What the issue? Don't see how you would need to replace all the lines unless they where full of salt water lol Or severally rotted

400 will be cheaper than braided lines, an fittings arent cheap

Well our lines are stainless hard lines and bent to fit out trucks.

Stock hard lines are fine, and large enough to flow serious fuel. It's easiest just to adapt to AN fittings/braided line at the engine.

Some adapt at the fuel filter and run braided the rest of the way as well.

Thanks for the replies!

My basic problem is my fuel pressure drops under boost.....I've already found one severely twisted line at the tank. Replaced the fuel sender unit, new Walbro, new fuel filter, and rebuilt Accuffab fpr with new diaphragm. Running out of options unfortunately!

Here's my previous thread: http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=91406

With engine off and pump running clamp the return line to see what pressure does. I don't know what the number should be but anything over 80 would indicate to me you pump is OK. Then the issue become does the pump make enough pressure AND volume. What did you do about the little pressure dampener above the fuel pump in the tank? If replaced then what kind of hose did you use? It takes a special type of hose.

X2 on the fuel line. Check out my post here to see what happens when you use the wrong stuff.

I used the hose that was supplied with the Walbro kit from Racetronix:
